WILLIAM A. MALCOM, CPA

Bill Malcom is a solid tax and accounting professional who creates enormous goodwill and confidence with the individual and closely held businesses he serves. His business career spans more than twenty-seven years and provides him a sound foundation as a proficient tax and business advisor.

From 1977 to 1980, Bill was a field auditor for compliance with the Internal Revenue Service. He resigned that position in mid-1980 to join the Fort Lauderdale office of the international professional services firm of Ernst & Young. During his ten years with that firm, he progressed to the position of Senior Tax Manager and specialized in providing services to partnerships, corporations and high net worth individuals. A substantial amount of his work product for these clients involved high level tax planning for both the business and its owners, resulting in the development of his currently high level of competence with the extremely complex area of trusts, estates and gifting programs designed to minimize the share of a client’s assets required to meet federal estate tax assessments. Bill joined Adair, Fuller, Witcher & Malcom, P.A. as a shareholder in 1990 and formed Malcom and Baker, CPAs & Associates, Inc. in 2004.

In addition to being recognized for his competency in the trusts and estates area, Bill also has an enviable record serving health care providers, not-for-profit organizations, real estate developers, medical practices and law firms. His emphasis on planning as the primary means of avoiding unpleasant surprises coupled with his low key approach to dealing with the challenges facing his clients in today’s high pressure business world causes those clients to respect Bill and to depend on him for advice and assistance. In this way, Bill truly becomes the business advisor with whom his clients can discuss any aspect of their business.

Bill is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, having received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from that institution in 1975. He is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida and holds membership in the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs.
